Blue University holds summer cooking classes for kids/This week's winner
Blue University offered Kids Cooking Classes during the month of July and we had a blast! Susan Duercsh, who has worked in various bakeries and made candy for a local restaurant, taught children from all over the valley how to eat healthy and have fun in the kitchen.
The kids learned everything from simple snacks to fancy cake decorating techniques. Britney, age 9, said her favorite thing was "making the cakes and doing fish sticks and chocolate mousee cooking is so much fun!" Too cute! Duercsh believes that teaching a child to cook and bake is one of the best ways to build their self-confidence and we agree! We can’t wait for next summer to do it all over again!
